Photoshop colour palettes..
As part of my Fashion Communication and Promotion course, one of the main packages we have been using is Photoshop. After completing my A-Level in Media Studies I am familiar with similar photo editing and publishing software however Photoshop in itself is fairly new to me.
One of the firsts tasks we were set using Photoshop, was to create colour palettes. Below I have added some of the colour palettes which I have created using Photoshop.
To create these colour palettes I firstly selected and saved an image which I found visually appealing, which I then opened up in Photoshop. Then using the 'eyedropper' tool I selected the different colours out of the photograph which I then used to fill in the palette.
After picking a selection of colours out of the photograph and adding them to my palette I created a second palette in which I arranged the colour tiles into order based on tone, shade and hue. My final palette then shows how I have arranged the colours into different sized sections so that certain colours were advanced forward and receded backwards depending on the shade.
